Through the use of cosmetic fillers, The Skin Center Medical spa has developed an earlobe volumizing treatment that restores youthful volume to sagging, wrinkled ear lobes.
A small amount of injectable dermal fillers, such as Restylane ®, is injected into the earlobe using an ultra fine-gauge needle, instantly expanding the earlobe outward for smaller, more youthful looking lobes. The results from the earlobe volumizing treatment with cosmetic fillers are long lasting, up to a year or longer. Cosmetic fillers remain in the earlobe longer than in other facial areas because of the lack of constant muscle movement.
Following an earlobe volumizing treatment, the earlobes can be slightly swollen. This slight swelling will usually dissipate in 24 hours. Minor bruising is less common but may occur and will subside in a few days. Results from earlobe volumizing with cosmetic fillers can last up to a year or longer in some cases.
