Laser Hair Loss Treatment Pittsburgh, PA | Columbus, OH

Until the development of cold light laser therapy with the Luce Laser Hair Loss Treatment, the only options for women experiencing female pattern hair loss or hair thinning were surgical alternatives or topically applied Rogaine®, which offered some improvement in a small percentage of users.

Available in Pittsburgh, Luce Laser Hair Loss Treatment can help women experience fuller, healthier, more beautiful hair by improving:

• Pattern Hair Loss

• Post-Childbirth Hair Loss

• Hormone Induced Hair Loss

• Thinning Hair Loss

• Dry, Brittle Hair

• Over Processed Hair

Thick, full, healthy hair is something all women desire.

However with natural aging, hormone fluctuations, heredity and environmental influences, hair thinning may occur and hair may lack luster and become weak and brittle.

Treatment Information

Luce (pronounced LOO-CHAY) Laser Hair Loss Treatment involves simply sitting under cold light laser therapy for a series of 30-minute treatments. During these treatments, a cool, low level infrared light penetrates the scalp to increase blood and lymph circulation at the root of the hair, which helps decrease inflammation and energize the follicular cells causing hair to grow thicker and fuller.

Luce Laser Hair Loss Treatment has been shown to stop hair loss progression in 90 percent of patients and convert 70 percent of hair from the resting phase to the growing phase. This laser treatment for hair loss can also noticeably improve the quality of existing hair, which may prolong the effect of hair colors and perms.

Performed in Pittsburgh, hair loss treatments using cold light laser therapy are performed in our Wexford, PA med spa location.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Can the Luce Hair Loss Laser Treatment help with genetic hair loss or female pattern hair loss?
Yes. Female pattern hair loss, or androgenetic alopecia, is the most common type of hair loss in women. This type of hair loss, which presents itself as diffused hair thinning throughout the scalp, affects approximately one in every 20 women, but is most commonly seen after menopause. The Luce Laser Hair Loss Treatment may also benefit women experiencing a male form of pattern hair loss. These women may notice hair loss along the front and top of their heads. Luce cold light laser therapy has been shown to stabilize hair loss progression in 90 percent of patients and has been shown to re-grow hair in about 50 percent of patients. The best time to treat pattern hair loss is in the early stages because much of the hair loss can be halted if treatment begins immediately.
How many hair loss laser treatment sessions are needed?
For pattern hair loss, we strongly recommend a more aggressive approach and have found that two laser hair loss treatment sessions per week for six to eight weeks work well along with maintenance treatments for up to a year or longer depending on the person’s initial condition. When Luce cold light laser therapy is used in the treatment of temporary hair loss or for general hair enhancement, more conservative therapy may be suggested. The number of sessions and duration of the laser light therapy will vary based on individual situations.
