The QuickLift Mini Face Lift:
QuickLift Mini Face Lift Surgery
The QuickLift Mini Face Lift surgery is performed at The Skin Center Medical Spa's outpatient surgical facility in Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, OH. Performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation, the QuickLift Mini Face Lift surgery takes about an hour and may be combined with other types of facial rejuvenation treatments for enhanced results.
Benefits of QuickLift Mini Face Lift Surgery:
- Quick Outpatient Procedure
- Local Anesthesia or Twilight Sedation
- Minimal Downtime
- Natural-looking Results
- Immediate and Lasting Improvement
Developed by Pittsburgh native, Dominic Brandy, MD, board-certified cosmetic surgeon and founding medical director of The Skin Center Medical Spa, the procedure begins with a small incision that is made just inside the hairline beginning at the temple and continuing downward along the tragus of the ear and finishing around the earlobe into the nape hair.
The underlying connective tissue and facial muscles are lifted upward and suspended using a double purse-string suture technique, which immediately lifts the face, enhances the appearance of the jaw line and upper neck, and makes the results from the procedure long lasting.
The excess skin is carefully removed, and the incision is meticulously closed under magnification using a suturing technique designed to reduce tension and minimize any visible scarring.
This relatively quick outpatient mini facelift procedure may be performed with local anesthesia or twilight sedation, making it virtually painless with minimal bleeding, and less bruising and swelling.
Bruising and swelling from the procedure are minimal for most people. Healing time varies from person to person and can last from three to five days up to two weeks or longer in a small percentage of patients.
QuickLift Mini Face Lift Post Surgical Recovery
The QuickLift Mini Face Lift is often called the "weekend facelift" as some people are able to have the procedure on a Thursday or Friday and return to work the following Monday, depending on their occupations.
Most patients, however, feel comfortable resuming their normal lifestyles in one or two weeks. If additional facial rejuvenation procedures are performed in conjunction with the QuickLift face lift surgery, the recovery time may be prolonged.
Prescription pain medication is provided, however, many individuals say that an over-the-counter pain reliever is all that is needed. In addition to mild discomfort, some people may experience temporary bruising, which can be camouflaged with makeup three days following the face lift surgery. To minimize swelling, patients are encouraged to sleep with their head elevated for the first week and to apply cold compresses the first 48 hours.
