Gentle yet thorough exfoliation takes place during the microdermabrasion phase of treatment during which tiny crystals are delivered to the skin using a patented handheld device. At the same time, the crystals are immediately vacuumed taking with them dull, dry, lifeless skin cells.

A nourishing hyaluronic acid-based serum is massaged into the skin and your face is covered with a custom-cut pure collagen sheet which conforms to facial contours like a second skin. The mask is steamed to sustain hydration and helps stimulate collagen formation by the body's natural fibroblasts.

How many Collagen MicroDerm Treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed really depends on your expectations. If you'd like your skin to feel softer, smoother and more hydrated for a special event, one treatment may be all you need. If you'd like to diminish textural irregularities such as fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin color and stimulate collagen production within your skin, we suggest a series of treatments.

Is there any downtime associated with the treatment?
The Collagen MicroDerm Treatment is a non-invasive, gentle treatment with virtually no down time. Your complexion may appear slightly flushed and pink immediately following treatment but this will dissipate within a few hours and should not interfere with your everyday routine.

How do I prepare for my treatment?
If you apply Retin-A to your face daily, we ask that you refrain from using it for five to seven days before your treatment. Plan to arrive at The Skin Center 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment with a clean face and no makeup.
