Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is a procedure that is designed to smooth either the whole face or an isolated area. Through controlled surgical sanding of damaged skin, Dermabrasion softens the sharp contours of scars associated with acne, trauma or surgery.

The procedure usually takes 30 minutes to an hour to perform, depending on the size and condition of the area to be treated. If the skin is in need of severe correction, or there is a large area of skin to be treated, Dr. Brandy may decide to perform the procedure in staged procedures rather than all at one.
During Dermabrasion, Dr. Brandy will carefully remove damaged layers of skin from the face, beginning with the outer layer and proceeding deeper until the irregularity is diminished. This is accomplished with a hand held, motorized instrument that is equipped with a brush or diamond-head sanding wheel. Once the skin heals the surface irregularities will be improve and a smoother complexion will result. Results can be very dramatic.
