Who is a good candidate for EyeQ™?
Generally, healthy women and men ages 25 through 55+ with under eye bags, dark circles, lost facial volume, or fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area can be a candidate for EyeQ™. The treatment is an ideal option for busy lifestyles because there is no downtime associated with the treatment.
How long do the results of EyeQ™ last?
The results of Eye™ depend on the combination of eye lift treatments and the type of dermal fillers used to offer improvement. In most cases, results can last up to six months to a year or longer. At your personal skin evaluation appointment, you will be given a better idea of the duration of the result based on your unique condition.
How long will the treatment take and how much discomfort will I experience?
Usually 45 minutes is reserved for an EyeQ™ treatment; however this is only an approximation and will depend on the severity of the condition and the combination of treatments utilized, all of which are discussed in detail during a private skin evaluation. In many cases, your non surgical EyeQ™ treatment may be performed at your initial office visit; however, you'll need to mention this possibility when you schedule your complimentary skin evaluation for EyeQ™.
Although everyone responds differently to pain, most of our clients find the experience to be comfortable. Depending on the treatment, the area may be desensitized with a topical gel or cold packs to help alleviate any discomfort.
Will I experience any side effects from the treatment?
Side effects from EyeQ&trade are mild and usually include injection-related side effects such as slight redness and mild bruising or swelling, all of which usually dissipate within a few hours or days. When an Aesthetic Eye Peel is performed, the area must be kept clean and hydrated to avoid any chance of infection and for optimal healing. Keep in mind, deeper peels offer more noticeable improvement with a little longer downtime.
Will I be able to go on with my normal daily routine afterwards?
Most people feel comfortable going back to their normal activities immediately following their appointment. Concealing make-up may be applied following the treatment unless an Aesthetic Eye Peel is performed.
Will I need the Eye Peel?
The Aesthetic Eye Peel (20% TCA) is a chemical peel treatment that offers noticeable improvement in skin texture and tone around the eyes. Although there is some downtime associated with the treatment, clients feel the tightening effect that the peel afforded them was well worth any inconvenience. If this is an issue, a less concentrated peel may be performed but the full skin tightening effect may be compromised.
Why wouldn’t I be a candidate, if my eyes look tired?
In some people, the positioning of the fat pads beneath the eyes can limit the improvement accomplished through a non surgical approach. In these cases, Dr. Brandy, our board-certified cosmetic surgeon and medical director, can perform a minor procedure in which one or more fat pad is removed for a smooth aesthetic effect. Will EyeQ™ help my drooping eyebrows?
EyeQ™ can help rejuvenate the entire eye area; however, Thermage™ Skin Tightening is often performed to tighten the forehead and elevate the brows. This radiofrequency treatment may also be performed on the eyelids (and full face) as well.
