Ionithermie™ Slimming Treatment

Ionithermie™ is a noninvasive treatment that uses gentle electrical stimulation and all-natural compounds to safely rid the body of accumulated toxins, improve lymphatic drainage and stimulate circulation.

The treatment, which has been performed in France for more than 25 years, results in temporary firming and toning with the added benefit of immediate inch-loss in the arm, abdomen, hip, thigh, knee and buttock areas. Multiple treatments can effectively smooth and diminish the appearance of cellulite in most women.

Ionithermie uses a combination of low-level galvanic and faradic stimulation with cosmeceutical-grade ingredients to detoxify and slim the body. The application of galvanic stimulation causes motion of negatively and positively charged particles, which enhances the skin’s permeability. This process, which has been used in beauty regimens for decades, helps with the transdermal migration of active compounds to the skin’s dermal layer where the breakdown of fat and toxins begins. The application of faradic stimulation causes passive contractions of the muscles to increase blood circulation and tone muscles.

Although the results of Ionithermie are temporary, most clients are impressed with the improvement and choose to have ongoing treatments, which can effectively improve the appearance of cellulite. Specially formulated home-care products help enhance the results and extend the benefits of Ionithermie especially for individuals with long-term expectations.

While medical science may never be fully convinced of the claims of Ionithermie, the women (and men) who have benefited from the treatment, swear by it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a good candidate for Ionithermie™?
Ideal candidates are healthy women and men (age 25 to 55) who would like to reduce the size of diet- or exercise-resistant areas of the body or improve the appearance of stubborn cellulite. These individuals understand that the results of Ionithermie are temporary and longer lasting improvement may be possible with ongoing treatments.

What happens during a treatment?
Our Ionithermie specialist carefully measures the areas of the body that will be treated and then applies a blend of micronized algae and amino acids that will help breakdown cellulite, increase circulation and release toxins locked in fatty deposits. She’ll wrapped gauze around the body over the “detox” ingredients and apply a layer of clay over the gauze. The clay is infused with algae and is meant to conduct electricity generated by several electrodes, which are strategically placed by our Ionithermie specialist for optimal results. After approximately 30 minutes of stimulation, most of the topical substance will dry and can easily be removed without steaming or showering. A soothing lotion is applied before the final measurements are taken. (Disposable panties are provided for lower body treatments.)

Is there any discomfort associated with the Ionithermie™?
There is no discomfort associated with Ionithermie. Most clients find the treatment to be relaxing for the body and mind, and they describe the feeling as a mild tingling sensation.

How much downtime should I expect?
There is no downtime associated with Ionithermie. You are free to return to your activities as soon as the treatment is complete.

How many Ionithermie treatments will I need?
For individuals desiring immediate inch-loss and preliminary detoxification, 1-3 treatments are recommended. Those with early stage cellulite desiring moderate detoxification may need 5-8 treatments. For advanced cellulite and aggressive detoxification, 10 treatments with periodic maintenance visits are suggested.

What areas can be treated with Ionithermie?
Commonly treated areas include the upper arms, flanks, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs and inner knees.

Is Ionithermie only for women?
No. Many men have Ionithermie treatments to firm and tone their abdominal and waist areas. Additionally, many athletes (both male and female) use the treatments to relieve sport-related muscle tension, aches and pains.
