Mesotherapy

What have Europeans known for over 50 years about fat reduction and skin rejuvenation? Mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive non-surgical treatment used for body sculpting and skin toning. It was developed in France over 50 years ago and has been widely used throughout Europe and around the world to treat a variety of medical conditions including sports related injuries.

Mesotherapy involves microinjections of select vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, pharmaceuticals and homeopathic medicines to specific problem areas of the body. The microinjections are delivered to the targeted areas through very short, ultra-fine needles. The needles penetrate into the mesoderm, or middle layer of skin, rapidly delivering the treatment to the targeted area.

Mesotherapy for Body Sculpting

Mesotherapy can help sculpt the body through targeted fat reduction when diet and exercise are not enough. Mesotherapy is not an effective weight loss solution; however it is extremely effective in reducing fat accumulation in specific areas of the body.

When used for body sculpting, a fat reducing solution containing vitamins, minerals, amino acid and pharmaceuticals is injected into the targeted area.

Commonly Treated Areas:

Upper neck / Submental

Upper Arms
Torso
Inner / outer thighs
Hips
Flanks

Once injected beneath the skin, the solution blocks fat accumulation and begins to breakdown and diffuse the targeted fat. Your body eliminates the fat in the same way it would as if you were dieting and exercising. Results are long lasting and should be supported by an effective diet and exercise program.

Mesotherapy for Skin Toning

Mesotherapy for skin toning nourishes the skin from the inside, promoting collagen production, improving blood flow, and providing youthful volume and fullness to the skin. Dense nutrients, amino acids and vitamins are injected into the mesoderm, or middle layer of the skin, leaving the skin firmer, rejuvenated and more radiant than ever before. Results are long lasting and should be supported by an effective diet and skin rejuvenation program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a good candidate for the Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is an ideal procedure for any non-overweight person interested in targeted fat reduction and skin rejuvenation. Mesotherapy is not an effective solution for significant weight loss, but can dramatically reduce stubborn fat deposits and improve sagging or loose skin.

Is there any discomfort associated with the Mesotherapy?
You may feel a mild burning sensation at time of injection. If you are not comfortable we can provide a topical anesthetic that will alleviate any discomfort.

How much downtime should I expect?
There is minimal downtime associated with Mesotherapy. Depending on the type of treatment you have (body sculpting or skin tightening) you may be asked not to use any lotions or wear make-up for at least 6 hours after a treatment, not to take hot showers for 6 to 8 hours following a treatment and avoid hot baths and exercise for 48 hours following the treatment. Other than these restrictions you can continue with your daily activities.

Are the results permanent?
Mesotherapy provides lasting results. Combining Mesotherapy with a proper diet and exercise program will help prolong the results. Depending on the treatment you have, you may need additional treatments every 6 to 8 months to maintain the desired result.

Will I need more than one treatment of Mesotherapy?
Depending on the area you are targeting and the results you are trying to achieve more than one session may be required. Most people see significant improvement after two or three treatments. We like to evaluate the progress after each treatment to determine if more treatments are needed.

Are there any side effects associated with Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a relatively painless procedure that is very well tolerated by most people. Potential side effects usually involve the injection site and can include a mild burning sensation that may last 15-20 minutes, mild bruising, minor swelling that may last one to five days, minimally soreness, minor skin discoloration and a slight risk of infection (which may occur whenever an injection is administered).
