Radiesse®

Today, it is possible to restore more youthful fullness and radiance to your skin with Radiesse®, an FDA-approved dermal filler that actually helps rebuild skin from the inside out.

Radiesse® smoothes facial lines and wrinkles and deeper facial creases while stimulating the skin's natural collagen production; creating a more youthful framework with added fullness. Results are immediate and can last a year or more.

Radiesse is composed of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapitite microspheres, which are suspended in a water-based gel. Calcium hydroxylapitite is a mineral component that occurs naturally in our bones and teeth.

Radiesse® is unique because it supplements the skin's own depleted collagen and stimulating new collagen production in and around the treatment area, which encourages longer-lasting results.

Over time, your body will absorb the substance and in its place will be your own, naturally formed collagen and tissue. Radiesse® continues to provide the support and structure for your body to grow new tissue and collagen until it is safely and naturally absorbed by your body, about one year after treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I experience any side effects from the treatment?
Side effects from Radiesse® are common but minimal. They may include slight bleeding, pinkness, mild bruising or swelling near the injection site. Generally, these side effects will dissipate within a few days.

Is Radiesse® safe?
Yes. Radiesse® has been FDA-approved as a dermal filler and has been clinically proven to be an effective, well-tolerated and longer-lasting treatment for facial wrinkles and folds. In fact, same day treatment is possible because Radiesse® does not require skin testing.

How often will I need to repeat the treatment?
Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one treatment. Because Radiesse® is a longer-term cosmetic enhancement and to ensure your satisfaction with the treatment, your provider may take a conservative approach and schedule a follow-up visit if refinement is desired.

How long is a Radiesse® treatment and how soon will I be able to resume my daily activities?
Typically treatments last 30 to 60 minutes depending on the areas treated. Most people feel comfortable going back to their normal activities immediately following treatment. Make-up may be applied a few hours after treatment if no complications are present.
