Favorite Skincare Tip

Be Flexible. Our skin is ever-changing. Similar to our internal health, hormones, stress, and environment, our skin changes over time and can shift even with seasonal changes. It is essential to allow for changes in your skincare routine and treatment plan. What worked in your 20’s and 30’s may need to be tweaked in your 40’s. What works for your spouse or partner may not transfer. We are all unique, and our skin treatments and at-home care should be too!

Favorite Med Spa Treatment

This is a hard question! In the skincare game, I love chemical peels because they play nice. They work with all skin tones and types and treat many skin issues. Chemical peels are a budget-friendly treatment as well. A series of light chemical peels can continually keep your skin fresh, and a series of medium depth peels will transform your skin with minimal downtime.

My Top 3 Client FAQs

  • “Does micro needling hurt?”
  • “Can under-eye circles be fixed?”
  • “Should I buy a medical-grade skincare?”

My Favorite Client Transformation Stories

I enjoy my time in the treatment room because I am a people person. One client that stands out to me was a young lady with a hormonal disorder. She had significant hair growth on her face and pigmentation problems from picking certain areas. With excellent communication and teamwork, we were able to significantly reduce her hair growth and improve her pigmentation with chemical peels. She has regained confidence and joined the field of skincare as well!

I love correction, especially in young clients who are very self-conscious of their skin during the “teen” years. I had one client who had gone through some pretty rough hardships regarding their skin. I was honored to be part of the process to help them achieve acne-free skin over about 6-7 months. It was a process, but well worth seeing confidence restored.

My Greatest Challenge

One of my challenges in this field is helping clients understand that treatments are only part of the solution, not the entire solution. At-home skin care products provide the proper foundation to work on. Medical grade skincare makes sense to see significant results or to avoid seeing negative impacts later. We see our clients for good cleanings, but they still need to brush and floss at home. Quality skincare is critical, always protect your investment.

What I Love Most About My Work

I love working at The Skin Center in Wexford! I can honestly say everyone is so genuine! It seems like a basic answer, but it is a truthful one. The providers are kind individuals who look out for one another and readily share knowledge. There is a culture of teamwork and excellence that I have not experienced anywhere else. We laugh a lot and learn a lot. There is often cake too – bring on the Coolsculpt!
