JUVÉDERM Wrinkle Filler Treatment
JUVÉDERM wrinkle filler, which is made by Allergan, the creators of BOTOX® Cosmetic, is an FDA-approved injectable wrinkle filler made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar found in the body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the body is to hydrate the skin by binding to water. JUVÉDERM wrinkle filler adds volume and restores a smoother appearance to depressed areas of the skin by supplementing the body's diminished supply of hyaluronic acid. The results are instant and can last up to a year or longer, depending on the area treated.
JUVÉDERM XC wrinkle filler is formulated with lidocaine for enhanced comforted during treatment. Using an ultra-fine needle, the wrinkle filler is injected just below the surface of the skin to plump the depressed area.
