How it works.

Both PRP and PRF treatments follow a similar process: a small amount of blood will be drawn and then centrifuged to either isolate concentrated platelets for PRP or a combination of platelets, fibrin and white blood cells for PRF to facilitate growth factor release. For EZGEL treatment, the PRF material is taken through a heating and cooling process to create a gel to be used as an injectable filler. PRP and PRF treatment can be used topically with microneedling permitting the release of potent growth factors in deeper layers of the skin. Things to Keep In Mind for Treatment

For best results, avoid any unnecessary blood thinning medications like anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, Advil, Motrin, ibuprofen, Aleve, naproxen, meloxicam), prednisone, fish oil, vitamin E, turmeric. For patients who take these medications as prescribed by their physician, please continue taking as you normally would.

  3. Avoid smoking and recreational drugs.
  4. Minimize caffeine and alcohol, as they can increase the risk of bruising.
  5. Arrive to your appointment hydrated, after a healthy meal, and with a clean face.
  1. Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising is normal. Bruising typically peaks on days 2-3 and subsides after 5-7 days. Topical arnica can be used as needed to speed healing and resolve bruising.
  2. Do not touch or rub the treated area for 6-8 hours. Sleep with head elevated to reduce swelling (2 pillows).
  3. No makeup for 24 hours. Avoid ice and heat in any treatment areas for 24 hours, as it may decrease the efficacy of your treatment.
  4. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking, as these can delay healing. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
  5. For two weeks following treatment, avoid sauna use and any unnecessary blood thinning medications like anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, Advil, Motrin, ibuprofen, Aleve, naproxen, meloxicam), prednisone, fish oil, vitamin E, turmeric.
