  • What should I expect Before Silhouette Instalift treatment?

    Before having a Silhouette Instalift treatment, you will meet with one of our expert providers for a comprehensive consultation to determine if the InstaLift is the best treatment for you and discuss the pre-treatment requirements.

  • What happens during an Silhouette Instalift treatment?

    Your InstaLift treatment will take less than an hour and can be done right in our medical spa. The treatment begins with having a local anesthetic injected into the tissue just beneath the skin to ease any pain or discomfort that may be associated with this treatment. Once the sutures have been inserted, your injector will position them precisely where they need to be to achieve the lift you desire.

  • What should I expect after Silhouette Instalift treatment?

    There is minimal downtime associated with the Instalift, with most side effects of treatment (ex, bruising, swelling, and tenderness at the treatment site) lasting a few days after treatment.

    After treatment, you may apply cold packs immediately after the procedure to reduce bruising and swelling, and acetaminophen may be taken in case of pain. It is important to sleep face-up in an elevated position on pillows and avoid rubbing your face aggressively when washing, shaving, and drying for 3-5 days after treatment.

    You may return to regular activity immediately after treatment but avoid participating in high-impact sports (e.g., running), facials, face-down massages, and facial aesthetic treatments for up to 4 weeks.

  • How long will results last from the InstaLift?

    You will notice immediate, natural-looking results. The bi-directional cones will keep your mid-facial skin elevated, and results will continue to improve over 6 months following treatment, with long-term results lasting up to 2 years.

Things to Keep In Mind for Treatment

  1. Ten days before treatment, avoid the following: blood thinners: aspirin or any aspirin-containing products, anti-inflammatory, analgesic drugs (NSAIDs—NSAID’sAleve, Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin), John’s Wort, omega-3s, Vitamin E, Biotin/Collagen, D3, B vitamins, turmeric, and alcohol.
  2. 2 Weeks before treatment, avoid the following: Surgical procedures, routine procedures (including dental work), any skin infections at or around the treatment area, and antibiotics; if you are sick or just getting over an illness within two weeks before treatment, please call to reschedule your appointment.
  3. Take extra-strength Tylenol for pain before treatment.
  4. Take arnica, as needed before treatment, to help avoid bruising.

  2. Acetaminophen may be taken in case of pain (2-3 days).
  3. Avoid aspirin, any aspirin-containing products, and anti-inflammatory, analgesic drugs (NSAIDs – Aleve, Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin) for 2 weeks post-treatment. NSAIDs can potentially suppress the new collagen formation process.
  4. Avoid alcohol for 2 weeks after treatment.
  5. When washing your face (48 hours after treatment), use gentle upward feather strokes and a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and avoid bending over, glycolic, and retinol for at least 1-week post-treatment.
