What is Skinvive
Skinvive is a skin quality treatment that is FDA-approved for the cheek area. It is the first and only hyaluronic acid injectable that improves cheek skin smoothness, leaving skin feeling hydrated and polished.
What skin concerns can Skinvive injections treat?
Skinvive treats dry skin on the cheeks and works for all skin types. It is the perfect treatment to receive a month or two before an event, wedding, or vacation.
How does Skinvive work?
SkinVive is made up of a modified hyaluronic acid (HA). Since this molecule is found naturally in the skin, it helps the skin retain its natural moisture and hydrate from within.
How does Skinvive compare to other injectable treatments?
Unlike injectables such as Botox, which softens fine lines and wrinkles, and fillers, which add volume and definition to the face, SkinVive focuses more on moisture retention and softness of the skin.
How is the Skinvive procedure performed?
An average injection time is about 15 minutes and consists of multiple microdroplet injections. This is where a small amount of the product is injected just below the skin.
How many Skinvive injections will I need?
Most patients will need 1-2 syringes per side of their face, which is ultimately determined by the surface area of the patient’s face. The procedure itself consists of 20-30 small injections per side of the face, right under the skin.
What is recovery like after Skinvive?
This treatment has minimal downtown, however, patients are advised to minimize strenuous exercise, reduce sunlight and extensive heat, as well as avoid alcoholic beverages. In some cases, patients may experience slight bumps following treatment, as well as bruising.
How long will this treatment last?
Results will vary but can last up to 6 months with optimal treatment. Some patients may need a touch-up for best results. As always, a proper daily skincare routine with active ingredients will help to enhance and prolong results.
