If your eyes look and feel tired because you have droopy upper eyelids (ptosis), Upneeq is a new, easy, non-invasive solution. These FDA-approved eyedrops lift up your lids in 15 minutes for long-lasting results. One dose will make your eyes look more open and awake all day long.
How does Upneeq work?
Upneeq (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) contains oxymetazoline hydrochloride, an alpha-adrenergic agonist, which triggers the tiny muscles in your upper eyelids (levator palpebrae) to contract. This causes your eyelids to raise about 1 mm on average. It only takes 15 minutes to work and the results last all day.
Is Upneeq safe?
Upneeq is FDA-approved to be both safe and effective for the treatment of acquired eyelid ptosis in adults . The main ingredient in Upneeq, oxymetazoline hydrochloride, is also in decongestant nasal sprays, such as Afrin®. In nasal sprays, it works by stimulating the blood vessels to contract, which helps open up the nasal passage. In Upneeq, oxymetazoline hydrochloride stimulates eyelid muscle contraction, which lifts up lids.
